Excuse my English. I love Powers. But I always have to wait for the trades or hardcovers because I live in Europe and there are no single issues available. I recently read the last trade of Volume 3 and I'm dying to know: Why did you guys decided to kill Heather? Will her death have a purpose in Powers: Bureau (sorry, haven't been able to read it)

Thank you for reading Powers! Powers spoiler: She died sacrificing herself, she saw the future and needed to warn Walker even though she was trying to avoid her fate and new she was going to die. It was a love sacrifice.

Although English isn’t your first language, you could always get the monthly issues through comixology app without having to wait. Thanks again!

Emulating old school Craftint & Zipatone with Photoshop patterns was a time-consuming, trial-and-error process. Wally Wood’s EC Stories Artist Edition was a big help.

I made a Photoshop grayscale square of 400ppi, filling it with a flat value (10%, 30%, 50% and 70% black). Temporarily converted that file to bitmap (resolution 400, method Halftone Screen/45 degree angle with shape of Round (Zipatone look), Line and Cross (Craftint look).

Defined pattern of each bitmap screen (naming each one with the value, dots per inch and pixels per inch), applied these new patterns on a test file. Printed results, compared with Wally Wood EC Stories Artist Edition pages. Adjusted Halftone Screen lines/inch (aka “Dots Per Inch/dpi”) to match.

Victories cover from layouts to inks to my colors. The Victories is an ongoing series from Dark Horse Comics about heroes fighting the Illuminati and their own demons. Every victory counts.

3 B/W Guardians of the Galaxy pages- the top page is a “pan” going from bottom to top while reading the Infinite comic from Marvel. Written by my Powers partner Brian Bendis. This was lots of fun!
